Create this mini album and fill it with photographs. This technique could also make for some excellent art books. (Check out these other art book techniques that could be used for mini albums).
If you enjoy this process and art be sure to enter some hand made artist books in one of our juried shows.

The opening for the Book Arts show was a success. If you did not make it to the opening, our hours are 11-5pm Monday - Friday. Thursday we will be open until 6pm. Here is a preview of the show.

Book Arts Show
Works of Wyoming is proud to present the opening for its first Book Arts show. Be sure to join us for a light snack and beautiful books made by Wyoming Artists. The opening will be held Thursday, September 8, from 6pm – 8pm and the work will be up through September 29th.
This event will be a great opportunity to network with other local artists and meet some of the new staff members here at WOW.

Artist Books Show at Works of Wyoming in Laramie Plains Civic Center

The show will open September 8th with a reception from 6:00-8:00pm. It promises to be an interesting show considering all of the definitions.
Center for Book Arts founder Richard Minsky’s definition is our guide for the show.
“In Book Art the container works with the content. The materials are tactile and often relate to the metaphor of the text. In some cases there is no written text. The book is then a purely visual, totemic or iconographic work, in which the image, structure and materials are the content. The physical presence of a book, its feeling and smell, its weight, the process of moving through its pages or unfolding it speak to our deepest inner sensibilities. The very form speaks of knowledge preserved and communicated. It represents our ability to build on complex ideas which survive millennia beyond the cultures which created them.”
